Directors & Founders: Roy & Eileen Rogosin
Eileen Rogosin
Elieen was one of the original Walt Disney Mouseketeers and a dancer with the New York City Ballet under George Balanchine. Her many film credits include Babes in Toyland, The Music Man, and Harum Scarum with Elvis Presley. Eileen currently teaches acting and performance in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Roy Rogosin
Roy was personal conductor for Johnny Mathis and Michel Legrand and has directed and written for television and motion pictures, including National Lampoon's Vacation. From 1999 to 2005 he was the Producer of the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine. Roy has conducted throughout the world, including London, Broadway, The Kennedy Center, Goodspeed Musicals and the White House. Roy is currently The Artist in Residence at St. John's College, where he recently directed Cabaret, and Director of Choirs at New Mexico School for the Arts both in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Shahna Rogosin, MD
Shahna is board certified in General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is currently working at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Freemont, California. She served as the Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service at the University of California, San Diego from 2005-2007.
Joshua Rogosin
Photographer, Sound Engineer
Joshua completed his studies in Communications at Ithaca College. More recently Josh worked for National Public Radio from 1999-2009, American Public Media on the show Marketplace. He currently works for New York Public Radio on the show Studio 360.
Alisa Claire
Dance Captain
Alisa Claire is a choreographer and the Artistic Director of Elan
Dance Theater and also The LMProject. Both are dance companies based in New York
City. The LMProject specializes in working with and teaching children and teens
the art of dance in many forms and styles.
Grace Denoncourt
Filmmaking, Acting for the Camera
Grace graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute NYC in 2007. She is a jazz vocalist, film, television, and theater actress, currently based out of Bogotá, Colombia. With over 17 years of experience as a working actor, she credits C-A-M-P with having given her the tools to succeed in her profession. She teaches Filmmaking at
C-A-M-P with an emphasis in acting for the camera.
Patrick Dorow
Guest Artist
Patrick is an Actor, Singer, Dancer, Songwriter, Director and Pianist. He has taught at Portsmouth High School and Middle School, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Prescott Park Arts Festival, Palace Theatre, and served as the Youth Director for the Ogunquit Playhouse directing such shows as Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast, and High School Musical. Patrick studied Musical Theatre at Chicago College of Performing Arts.
Isabella Duran
Music and Glee Instructor
Isabella graduated from liberal arts St Johns College, where she founded and nurtured many musical and theatrical endeavors. She is a seasoned performer herself, having appeared in many variety shows and musicals such as "Sweeney Todd," "Cabaret," and "Little Shop of Horrors" throughout her school career. As a freelance music teacher of voice, guitar and piano, Isabella has had great success in private as well as group settings, where her specialty is helping young adults find passion and confidence through the joy of music. She has accompanied singers, instrumentalists and ensembles of all levels, and loves to share her love for music and performance arts while at C-A-M-P.
Juan Pablo Felix
Course Director, Filmmaking
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Pablo graduated from the School of Television and Cinema in 1994, a prestigious program of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. After attending university, he specialized in Script and Scene work at the Northern Territory University of Darwin in Australia and in Acting and Direction at the HFF Konrad Wolf of Potsdam, Germany. Since then, Félix has become one the foremost casting directors in Latin America and New York. His casting credits include María Full of Grace (Oscar nominations for Best Actress, Best Foreign Film), and Wind Journeys (Official Selection, Cannes Film Festival).
Christine Kasparian Dunn
Director of Programming
Christine has studied music and theater from Boston to Los Angeles. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Bridgewater State University, opened up a performing arts studio in the greater Boston area called LiveLoveMusic where she teaches singing, acting, and piano. Christine has put together multiple performing arts programs for kids across New England. In 2010, she was nominated for the Eastern Massachuetts Association of Community Theater's Distinguished Achievement and Special Honors award for music directing "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at Newton Country Players. Christine is also a vocalist and actress who has performed at various venues and theaters throughout the country.
Bryan R. Knowlton
Dance Instructor
Bryan has had the wonderful opportunity to perform with artists ranging from Merril Streep, Sally Struthers, Cynthia Nixon, to dancing alongside Savion Glover on Broadway at New York's famous City Center. He also was an original cast member in Cameron Mackintosh's first national tour of "Oliver!" direct from London, where he later performed the role of Noah Claypole for the second national. Bryan has a long history with Michael Bennett's "A Chorus Line" he just completed staring on Broadway as Paul."
Parag Mallick
Guest Artist
Parag first studied circus arts at The San Francisco School of Circus Arts. Soon after he studied improv and theatre at UCLA. He now teaches and trains with Cirque School LA. Previously a member of Gravity Flux and The Royal Puppets, he has also been a featured artist with Cirque Berzerk and The Mutaytor. Parag works internationally as a producer, director and performer both on his own and with The Mums. He has been featured in music videos, commercials, and on television in shows such as 'Live at the Ford' and the Discovery Channel series 'How Stuff Works.' In addition, he is a member of the Academy of Magical Arts and performs regularly at The Magic Castle in Hollywood. Beyond his life in the circus, he is a professor of Biomedical Engineering at Stanford University and the University of Southern California.
Stephen Purdy
Musical Director, Vocal Technique, Song Repertoire, Vocal Coaching, Music Prep
Stephen Purdy founded and is principal coach at the New York Vocal Coaching Studio, a vocal and music services studio for Broadway performers, and his clients have been cast in the Broadway and touring companies of virtually every major Broadway musical of the last decade including WICKED, MAMMA MIA, BILLY ELLIOT, HAIRSPRAY, LEGALLY BLONDE, THE LION KING, PHANTOM and many others. His clients are also performing in regional theatres and on concert stages across the globe. As a musical director and conductor for the musical theatre stage, Stephen's Broadway, off-Broadway and National touring credits include TARZAN, SPELLING BEE, PETER PAN (Cathy Rigby-both in New York and on tour), THE FULL MONTY, THE FANTASTICKS, FRANKENSTEIN (Original cast recording) ME AND MY GIRL, THE KING AND I and SWEET CHARITY. Stephen spent nearly five years touring throughout Europe with GREASE (Paris and European tours), A CHORUS LINE and 42ndSTREET, and MY FAIR LADY in Hong Kong (cast recording). Major regional theatre credits include Atlanta Alliance, Washington Arena, Joseph Papp Public Theatre and the York. Television includes work for A and E, PBS and the BRAVO channel. Stephen studied voice and piano at U of M, conducting at the Juilliard school, and currently Vocal pedagogy and coaching at Westminster. His first book entitled “Does this song make me look fat?” a song preparation and audition guide for performers is due in bookstores late next year. Stephen lives in New York City.
Hellena Schiavo
C-A-M-P Administrator
Hellena is a member of the class of 2012 at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she is pursuing a BA in Liberal Arts. She has been involved 15 productions at the college, including The Importance of Being Earnest, Little Shop of Horrors, King Lear, Cabaret, No Exit, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. She was an intern for THEATERWORK in Santa Fe during the summer of their 2011 season. Hellena works primarily as a stage manager, but also directs, acts, and sings. She is very excited to be returning to CAMP for her third summer!
Allison Schmidt
Costume Design, Wearable Art
Allison is a graduate of the Fashion Design program at Massachusetts College of Art & Design. She has extensive experience in pattern drafting as well as apparel, costume, and accessory design. She has designed under her own label, coordinated fashion shows, and styled wardrobe for theater, film, and events. She has worked with the Newton Country Players, designing costumes for their production of "Into The Woods"
Ted White
Activities Director
This will be Ted's 18th summer with the Rogosins at
C-A-M-P. Ted graduated from St. Olaf College in 2005 with a BA in Theater. He pursued a career as a professional actor for 3 years, doing a variety of children's theater productions and staged readings. In 2004, he was seen on Broadway in This is Murphy's Law the smash hit of the NYC Fringe Festival. He now lives in New York City, where he studies sketch comedy and improv at Upright Citizens Brigade.
